Hon. Prince Olusegun Bolanle Gbélẹyi has declared his readiness for the Senate, highlighting his experience, influence, and grassroots connection during a media chat with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun West Independent Chapel in Ota.
Gbélẹyi pointed to his role in Nigeria’s return to the Commonwealth, contributions to debt relief efforts under former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and involvement in key federal projects, including power and digitalisation initiatives.
He also stressed that his priority is to transform Ogun West, starting with a comprehensive water reform agenda aimed at ending reliance on boreholes through the revival of waterworks.
The senatorial aspirant also pledged to attract foreign investment, particularly from the United Kingdom, noting that he has only tapped a fraction of his international network
.
Promising an open-door leadership style, Gbélẹyi said his first 100 days would focus on direct engagement with constituents across all local governments.
He added that his ambition is to be remembered as a people-focused legislator committed to impactful representation.
