SIMAWA, Ogun State — Adron Homes has inaugurated new executives of the Adron Homes Property Owners and Residents Associations (AHPORA) for the Uptown and Downtown zones of Treasure Park & Gardens Phase 2 Extension, Simawa, Ogun State, in a move to strengthen collaboration between the property developer and residents.
The inauguration, held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the Downtown Estate, is aimed at providing property owners and residents with an effective platform to communicate their concerns, contribute ideas and engage with the company on matters affecting the estate.
The newly inaugurated executives are expected to serve as a link between residents and the management of Adron Homes by promoting accountability, monitoring estate-related issues and ensuring that residents' concerns receive appropriate attention.
The event was attended by traditional and community stakeholders, with His Royal Highness, Oba Peter Oluwole Ogunbayo (Otete III), the Odemo of Isara Remo, serving as the Royal Father of the Day.
In the Uptown Zone, Mrs. Augustina Chuks was inaugurated as Chairman, while Mrs. Ogunba-Ojo Hutawa Aderonke emerged as Secretary-General.
Hon. Mrs. Wale Fayemi and Mr. Lateef Eniola were represented at the ceremony by their daughter and wife, respectively.
For the Downtown Zone, Alhaji Akeem Segun Koletowo was inaugurated as Chairman, while Mr. Alex O. Ohanwadi emerged as Secretary-General.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer of Adron Group, Sir Aare Adetola Emmanuel King, KOF, described the inauguration as a significant milestone in the development of the estate.
He noted that residents had transformed what was once unoccupied land into a thriving neighbourhood, stressing that the future and character of the estate depended largely on the commitment and cooperation of those who lived there.
“We are not simply inaugurating executives. We are acknowledging that Downtown Estate has reached another stage in its journey,” he said.
According to him, while a property developer provides the initial framework, infrastructure and vision for an estate, residents ultimately determine its character through their conduct, relationships and collective commitment to its development.
He emphasised that property owners and residents were active participants in the estate's growth rather than passive observers.
“You are not spectators. You are the story,” he added.
Sir Aare Adetola urged the newly inaugurated executives to approach their responsibilities with a strong sense of service, reminding them that their primary obligation was to the residents they represented.
He charged them to embrace inclusive leadership, constructive engagement and peaceful conflict resolution.
“Be leaders who listen without losing direction, speak without creating unnecessary conflict, and disagree without destroying relationships,” he advised.
The Adron Group chairman further explained that an estate's reputation, security, peaceful atmosphere and relationships among residents were important assets that could influence the value of their properties and investments.
He maintained that the sustainable development of an estate required active participation from both the developer and the residents.
“The success of an estate cannot be manufactured from the developer's office. There must also be ownership from the people who live here,” he said.
Also speaking, the Managing Director of Adron Homes, Mrs. Adenike Ajobo, described the challenges encountered by the company in the course of its growth as part of the process of building a stronger organisation.
She characterised Adron Homes as an unstoppable movement and called on homeowners, property investors and residents to unite under AHPORA to promote the collective development of the estate.
“The only thing we are clamouring for, agitating for, and campaigning for is for all of us to come together to grow our estate together through AHPORA,” she stated.
In recognition of residents' contributions to the security and maintenance of the estate, two homeowners who requested anonymity were also acknowledged for their support.
The homeowners donated a motorcycle and security equipment to assist the estate's security personnel with mobility and strengthen patrol operations. They also supported the painting of the estate's gatehouse.
In addition, they provided food supplies for security personnel and donated further security equipment, demonstrating the important role residents can play in maintaining safety and improving living conditions within their community.
The gesture underscored the need for collective responsibility in securing the estate and preserving its facilities.
Sir Aare Adetola expressed optimism that the newly inaugurated executives would make a positive impact during their tenure, leaving behind a stronger and better-organised community.
He expressed the hope that when the current executives eventually hand over to their successors, their legacy would be one of measurable progress and improved living conditions.
“They left Downtown better than they met it,” he said, describing the standard by which he hoped their leadership would ultimately be judged.
