MC Oluomo Condemns Killing of Toba Ajiboye, Demands Justice and Thorough Police Investigation

The National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has strongly condemned the killing of the union's Lagos State Organising Secretary, Comrade Toba Ajiboye, widely known as Toba Ijaya.

Describing the assassination as heinous, barbaric, and unacceptable, MC Oluomo called for a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack and urged security agencies to ensure that those responsible are identified, arrested, and prosecuted.

He assured members of the union that the NURTW would fully cooperate with the Nigeria Police Force and provide every necessary support to facilitate a thorough investigation into the incident.

MC Oluomo also pledged that the union would stand by the family of the deceased and work with law enforcement authorities until justice is served.

Toba Ajiboye reportedly died from injuries sustained after he was attacked by unidentified gunmen in Lagos. His death has thrown the Lagos chapter of the NURTW into mourning and has continued to attract widespread public attention.

The incident has generated mixed reactions across social media, with many Nigerians expressing condolences while others revisited Toba Ajiboye's past involvement in transport union activities and his long-standing rivalry with other union figures during the late 1990s and early 2000s in Mushin, Lagos.

Police investigations into the killing are ongoing, while stakeholders have continued to call for those behind the assassination to be brought to justice.
