-Says its technology-driven platform is transforming grassroots mobilization by building a structured volunteer database through digital registration ahead of its official unveiling.
As political mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections gathers momentum, CityBoy LikeMinds Volunteers says it is shifting the focus from conventional crowd gatherings to a technology-driven system that emphasizes structured volunteer registration and data-backed grassroots coordination.
The organization's flagship innovation, the CityBoy LikeMinds Volunteers App, is designed to build a nationwide database of volunteers supporting the second-term bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. According to the organization, the platform enables volunteers to register from every ward, local government area, state and the Federal Capital Territory, creating a coordinated digital network across Nigeria.
CityBoy LikeMinds Volunteers says the application has continued to witness impressive growth during its test-running phase, with tens of thousands of volunteers already registered ahead of its official unveiling. The organization adds that new registrations are received daily, demonstrating increasing acceptance of its digital approach to grassroots mobilization.
Unlike traditional mobilization efforts that often rely on the size of physical gatherings, the organization says its platform is designed to maintain a structured database of registered volunteers, including Permanent Voter Card (PVC) details voluntarily provided during registration. It says this approach promotes transparency, accountability and more effective coordination of volunteers.
Speaking on the development, the Director General of CityBoy LikeMinds Volunteers, Mr. Babalola Temidayo said the movement is committed to modernizing grassroots engagement through innovation and measurable participation. The App can be downloaded on playstore or Apple store (www.cityboyvolunteers.org.ng)
"We are building a nationwide volunteer movement driven by technology, transparency and organization. Our goal is to ensure that grassroots mobilization is supported by credible data that enables effective coordination and strategic planning."
The organization noted that its operational structure extends across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones, the 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory, local government areas and wards, with digital and community-based volunteer teams working together to strengthen grassroots participation.
As preparations continue for the official unveiling of the CityBoy LikeMinds Volunteers App, the organization says it will continue expanding its volunteer database while promoting peaceful participation, national unity and responsible civic engagement.
For CityBoy LikeMinds Volunteers, the future of grassroots mobilization lies not merely in the size of a crowd but in building an organized, transparent and technology-enabled volunteer network capable of delivering measurable impact across Nigeria.
