The city of Ota is preparing to host one of its most anticipated social events of the year as renowned youth advocate, communicator, and humanitarian leader, Asiwaju Yomi Oke, marks his 40th birthday on Friday, November 28, 2025.
The celebration, which will take place at the Landmark Executive Multipurpose Hall, Akhidernor Bus Stop, Joju Road, Ota, is scheduled to begin at 4pm. According to close associates, the event tagged “Focused on Outstanding Legacy - FOOL @ 40” is designed to reflect Oke’s years of community service, leadership development, and influence across various sectors.
Widely known as “Asiwaju” Yomi Oke has built a reputation for inspiring young people, supporting community development initiatives, and contributing significantly to public service communication in Ogun State. His journey from coordinating youth groups as a child, to becoming one of the most visible voices in Lions Clubs International District 404-B4 Nigeria, and serving as Media Aide to a couple of Public Office Holders has continued to draw admiration.
Sources within the planning committee disclosed that the Ruby Celebration will feature tributes, documentary highlights, musical performances, and special appearances by leaders from government, media, entertainment, and humanitarian circles.
Over the years, Oke has been involved in youth empowerment, skill development, advocacy, and community service; particularly through SKATA, a skills and talent academy that has trained over a thousand youths and women in Ogun State. His role in the Lions community has also seen him champion hunger relief, childhood cancer awareness, and educational support projects.
At 40, Oke says the next phase of his life will be centered on building an “outstanding legacy” through intentional service, leadership mentoring, and impactful community initiatives.
As preparations enter their final stages, Ota residents and well-wishers from across Nigeria are looking forward to a memorable celebration of a man many describe as a voice of influence, a bridge-builder, and a consistent advocate for youth development.
