In a grand gesture of appreciation for her outstanding achievement, the Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu, FCA, has honoured Miss Aliyat Olalekan, the female boxer who emerged victorious with a gold medal in the female 54kg category at the National Sports Festival held in Ogun State.
The National Sports Festival, which took place from May 16th to May 30th, showcased the country's top athletes, and Miss Olalekan's remarkable feat is a testament to her dedication and prowess in the sport.
As a token of recognition for her achievement, the Chairman presented Miss Olalekan with a, letter of commendation, cash reward and accorded her a warm reception at the LG Secretariat.
The Chairman's gesture demonstrates the Local Government's commitment to promoting and supporting sports development in the area. By honouring Miss Olalekan's achievement, the LG aims to inspire other young athletes to strive for excellence and make the community proud.
