LARRY BASH TARGETS 300,000 VOTES FOR APC IN ADO-ODO/OTA, MOBILISES 655 POLLING BOOTH LORDS

By Ọmọsọla Olumide

OTA, Ogun State — The APC flag bearer for Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency, High Chief Olanrewaju Bashorun, popularly known as Larry Bash, has intensified grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections, with his political structure setting a target of 300,000 votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the constituency.
The figure, according to Larry Bash’s team, is a mobilisation target and not an electoral result or prediction.
The initiative, the team said, is built around a multi-level grassroots structure comprising 16 Coordinating Ambassadors across the 16 wards, 215 Ward Ambassadors and 655 Polling Booth Lords, corresponding with the 655 polling booths in Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency.

The team also plans to deploy 485 Community Practitioners, based on what it described as the constituency’s 485-community structure, to extend mobilisation and engagement beyond wards and polling booths.
According to the team, the structure is designed to connect political coordinators, professionals, youth stakeholders, community representatives, unions and religious groups in a coordinated grassroots network.

Speaking with journalists after an Independence Day dinner he hosted, Larry Bash said the initiative was conceived after what he described as “deep thought” on how Ogun West could overcome its longstanding inability to produce a governor.

He called on indigenous people of Ogun West to rally around Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, saying the region now had what he described as a “golden opportunity” to pursue its long-standing aspiration.

Bash said the support of Governor Dapo Abiodun had also created an important platform for the APC governorship candidate, urging Ogun West stakeholders to work collectively towards the success of the party.

He said the broader objective was to ensure that APC candidates across the available tickets emerge victorious in the 2027 elections and subsequently take charge of governance.

The APC’s Ogun governorship candidate, Senator Adeola, emerged from the party’s 2026 governorship primary and has continued his campaign ahead of the February 6, 2027 governorship election. Governor Abiodun had earlier presented Adeola to Ogun West APC stakeholders as the party’s consensus candidate.

Larry Bash said the mobilisation effort was therefore not limited to his own federal constituency ambition but was also intended to support the wider APC campaign in Ogun State, including Adeola’s governorship bid, the campaign of Hon. Jimoh Ojugbele for Ogun West Senatorial District, and APC candidates for the Ado-Odo/Ota State House of Assembly constituencies.

He said the objective was to sustain direct community engagement, strengthen ward-level coordination and ensure active voter outreach at polling-booth level as the elections approach.

At the Independence Day dinner, one of the speakers reportedly described Larry Bash as a “scientific politician,” a description his team said reflected his emphasis on structured organisation, data-driven coordination and measurable grassroots mobilisation.

With the inauguration of the various levels of coordinators, the Larry Bash political structure said it would work to translate its 300,000-vote mobilisation target into sustained grassroots engagement across Ado-Odo/Ota.
The campaign is being driven by the rallying message:

“ITESIWAJU! O DELE! O DOKO! WORO SI WORO! IGA SI IGA!”
