By Ọmọsọla Olumide

Hon. Kareem Tolani Oyindamola (KTO) has intensified grassroots mobilisation for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections, calling on residents of Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency to unite behind the party.

KTO, the convener of the grassroots mobilisation initiative, made the call while addressing party supporters, political stakeholders, community representatives and members of various associations during the gathering.

He emphasised the need to sensitise voters at the grassroots level and strengthen support for Yayi and other APC candidates to enhance the party's chances of winning elective positions across Ogun State in 2027.
According to him, effective grassroots engagement, voter mobilisation and collective commitment among party supporters are essential to achieving the APC's electoral objectives.

KTO urged eligible voters across Ado-Odo/Ota to rally behind the party's candidates, stressing the importance of taking the mobilisation campaign to communities, markets, artisan groups and other grassroots platforms.

Chief Austin Highlights Yayi's Contributions
Speaking at the gathering, Chief Austin, identified as the Chairman of Igbo for Yayi for Governor, expressed support for Senator Adeola's governorship ambition, citing infrastructure development and other benefits he said Ogun West had experienced.
He maintained that Yayi's emergence as governor could provide an opportunity for the benefits of development to extend to other parts of Ogun State.

Chief Austin's remarks underscored the involvement of members of the Igbo community and other interest groups in the growing political mobilisation surrounding Yayi's aspiration.

His contribution also highlighted the importance of community participation and collaboration among different groups in building grassroots support ahead of the 2027 elections.

APC Stakeholders, Associations Participate
The gathering attracted Hon. Okikiola Oludegun, the APC candidate for the Ogun State House of Assembly seat representing Ado-Odo/Ota, alongside KTO, the convener of the initiative.

Also in attendance were APC chieftains, party stakeholders, market women and representatives of market associations, artisans, members of the Igbo movement for Yayi, and representatives of various associations.

Their participation reflected the involvement of different community groups and political stakeholders in the mobilisation effort.

The engagement provided an opportunity for participants to discuss grassroots sensitisation and the need to build support for the APC and its candidates ahead of the forthcoming elections.

Mobilisation Ahead of 2027

With the 2027 general elections approaching, grassroots mobilisation is expected to remain an important component of political engagement across Ogun State.

KTO's initiative seeks to encourage wider participation among eligible voters and strengthen support for the APC across Ado-Odo/Ota and other parts of the state.

The movement's message centred on unity, community engagement and coordinated mobilisation in support of Yayi and other APC candidates.

The gathering ended with renewed calls for grassroots supporters, community groups and party stakeholders to work together towards the party's electoral objectives in 2027.
