IJEBU-ODE, Ogun State — Ijebu-Ode came alive as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) intensified its campaign activities in Ogun East Senatorial District, drawing party leaders, supporters and residents to a colourful political rally.
The campaign rally, held as part of the party’s mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections, witnessed a strong presence of PDP supporters from across the senatorial district.
The event provided the party’s candidates and leaders with an opportunity to engage with the electorate, canvass support and highlight their agenda on governance, representation, infrastructure, economic opportunities and grassroots development.
The PDP’s Ogun East senatorial candidate, Engr. Abdul-Hamid Femi Omotayo, has been campaigning on a platform that includes effective representation, infrastructure development and equitable distribution of resources across the district.
At the Ijebu-Ode rally, the party’s campaign message centred on grassroots mobilisation and its call for what it describes as a new direction for Ogun State.
The gathering also featured the party’s governorship candidate, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, alongside other PDP leaders and stakeholders. Reports from the campaign's earlier flag-off identified Sagamu, Ijebu-Igbo and Ijebu-Ode among the locations where the Ogun East campaign activities took place.
With political activities already gathering momentum ahead of 2027, the PDP is taking its message deeper into the communities, seeking to consolidate its grassroots structure and connect directly with voters across the senatorial district.
The campaign's rallying cry remains:
“OGUN FOR OGUN!”
ITURA DE!
