The National President of the Remo Secondary School Old Students Association (RSSOSA), Aare Adetola Emmanuelking, has congratulated the National Vice President of the Association’s UK Branch, Mr. Damola Aiyeola, on his 60th birthday, describing him as a God-fearing family man, committed leader and exemplary alumnus whose dedication to service has positively impacted students and contributed to the development of Remo Secondary School.
In a special birthday message marking the milestone, Aare Adetola Emmanuelking described Aiyeola’s six decades of life as a testament to purpose, faith, family, leadership and selfless service.
He noted that Aiyeola’s contributions to RSSOSA demonstrate a deep understanding of the responsibilities that come with belonging to an association of Old Students, particularly the obligation to give back to the institution that shaped them.
The RSSOSA National President commended Aiyeola’s leadership as National Vice President of the Association’s UK Branch, stressing that his contribution extends beyond occupying an executive position to actively advancing the welfare of students and supporting the growth and development of the alma mater.
He particularly highlighted several impactful initiatives undertaken by the RSSOSA UK Branch under Aiyeola’s leadership. These include the renovation of the UK-adopted classrooms at Remo Secondary School, donation of learning materials to outstanding students across the Senior and Junior sections, and the sponsorship of holiday tutorials for SS3 students.
The tutorial programme, he added, was further strengthened through the provision of textbooks and sanitary pads for students, thereby addressing both their academic and personal welfare needs.
Aare Adetola Emmanuelking described the initiatives as tangible demonstrations of the responsibility Old Students owe their alma mater, noting that they have translated the UK Branch’s commitment into meaningful interventions in the lives of present-day students.
According to him, Aiyeola’s leadership exemplifies the essence of alumni service, where positions are viewed not merely as titles but as opportunities to make a difference.
He said the achievements of the RSSOSA UK Branch under Aiyeola’s watch reflect how Old Students can transform their love and appreciation for their alma mater into practical initiatives that support education, improve student welfare and contribute to institutional development.
As Mr. Damola Aiyeola celebrates his diamond jubilee, the RSSOSA National President prayed for continued divine strength, good health, protection, prosperity and fulfilment.
He also prayed that God would bless and preserve Aiyeola’s family, reward his years of commitment to service and grant him greater wisdom and grace for the responsibilities ahead.
Aare Adetola Emmanuelking expressed confidence that Aiyeola’s years ahead would be even more fruitful and impactful, with greater opportunities to contribute to the growth of RSSOSA, its UK Branch and the continued advancement of Remo Secondary School.
