Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) has reaffirmed his commitment to purposeful leadership following his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus governorship candidate in Ogun State.

Addressing journalists alongside Hon. Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka (GNI) and Hon. Isiaq Abiodun Akinlade, Adeola described his emergence as a product of unity and collective agreement among key stakeholders in Ogun West.

He noted that the district is now fully aligned, prepared, and determined to present a formidable front in the 2027 gubernatorial election.

Expressing gratitude to the leadership of the party, Adeola said: “I thank the APC and I deeply appreciate the support of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the confidence reposed in me.”

In his acceptance remarks, the senator pledged to sustain and build on the developmental strides of past administrations, assuring that his leadership would reflect the vision and aspirations of the state’s founding fathers.

“Ogun State holds a strategic position in Nigeria, and I am fully conscious of the responsibility ahead. The ship I am about to take over will not derail. With the support and cooperation of our people, I will not disappoint the party or the good people of Ogun State,” he said.

Adeola emphasized that his administration, if elected, would consolidate on existing progress and usher in a new phase of inclusive growth and development across the state.
