A UK-trained engineer, Engr. Temitayo Agemo-Okuboyejo, has intensified her push for the Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency seat, declaring her readiness to clinch the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Unveiling her ambition at the “Meet the Press” session organised by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun West Independent Chapel, Agemo-Okuboyejo said her mission is to confront “intellectual poverty” through aggressive reforms in education and healthcare.
Projecting confidence, she said she is better positioned this time to secure the PDP ticket, citing her growing popularity and deepening grassroots support.
“The dynamics have changed. People are more aware and informed. I’m not bothered about being in the opposition,” she said.
Describing the contest as mentally demanding but surmountable, she maintained she is fully prepared for the race, adding that she sees fellow aspirants as “brothers,” not enemies.
She identified mismanagement of public resources as a major setback in Ado-Odo/Ota, vowing to ensure that government allocations are transparently and judiciously utilised.
On her policy thrust, Agemo-Okuboyejo promised targeted investments in education, including school development projects, support for uniforms, and assistance for students in tertiary institutions.
She also pledged to expand access to vaccines and upgrade health centres to improve primary healthcare delivery across the constituency.
In a bid to deepen accountability, she promised quarterly town hall engagements with constituents to review performance and receive feedback.
“I am confident of victory and ready to deliver real, measurable development,” she declared.
