A surprise birthday celebration erupted at Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Secretariat today, as staff marked the 60th birthday of their Executive Chairman, Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu, FCA.
The morning routine was disrupted by cheers, songs, and prayers as management and staff gathered to honour their leader. The surprise celebration, coordinated by the Head of Local Government Administration, HOLGA Mr Babatunde Folarin Adesina, showcased the strong bond between leadership and staff.
In his remarks, Hon. Wasiu expressed gratitude for the unexpected gesture, encouraging staff to maintain harmony and cooperation. He attributed his success to God's gift of life and the privilege of service.
The celebration reflected the unity and shared purpose of the Local Government team. It was a testament to Hon. Wasiu's accessible, supportive, and people-centred leadership.
