Searchlight News has announced that all preparations are complete for the much-anticipated 7th Global Leadership Summit & Awards, scheduled to hold this week in Lagos.
In a statement signed by Lola Adesokan, Managing Editor and Convener of Searchlight News/Global Leadership Summit, the 2025 edition will focus on the theme: “Celebrating Visionary Leaders Driving Economic, Social, and Institutional Transformation.” The theme reflects the Summit’s mission to honour individuals whose leadership is advancing national development across key sectors.
This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Oluwasegun Musa, a renowned maritime expert, strategic thinker, and national development advocate known for his contributions to transport policy, logistics intelligence, and institutional strengthening in Nigeria.
The Summit will also feature two technical and policy-driven presentations.
- Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, President General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria, will speak on “Building Institutional Strength Through Labour Unity: The Role of Maritime Workers in National Development.”
- High Chief Tochukwu Ezisi, President of NAGAFF, will present on “Trade Facilitation and Leadership Transformation: Strengthening Freight Forwarding Systems for Sustainable Economic Growth.”
The event will be chaired by Ms. Temilade Ogunniyi, a respected professional known for her administrative expertise, dedication to excellence, and strong leadership values.
A highlight of the Summit will be the recognition of distinguished personalities for their exceptional service, innovation, humanitarian impact, and transformational leadership. Honorees include:
