The Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Adewale Lawal Wasiu, FCA, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building stronger partnerships with corporate organizations within the community.
Hon. Lawal made this known during a courtesy visit to Dufil Prima Foods Plc, Ota, where he praised the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, particularly in environmental sanitation and infrastructural development. He also proposed a collaboration on the Environmental Marshal Initiative, a program designed to enforce environmental policies and improve community safety.
“We are determined to strengthen ties with stakeholders like Dufil Prima, as collaboration is key to driving sustainable development across our local government,” Hon. Lawal stated.
Receiving the delegation, Plant Manager Mr. Rohit Kedis pledged the company’s continued support for the council’s developmental agenda. He raised concerns over ongoing road construction affecting factory operations but expressed confidence that the Environmental Marshal initiative would address security challenges.

Mr. Kedis also highlighted Dufil Prima’s community projects, including the construction of a drainage system at Irewole Estate through Afobaje, Ota, to tackle flooding and improve sanitation. Hon. Lawal commended the intervention as “a laudable and impactful contribution to the community.”
The company’s Human Resources Manager, Mr. Richard Ogunye, appealed for government intervention on the issue of multiple revenue collectors. In response, Hon. Lawal assured that a harmonized revenue list would be implemented next year to streamline collections and ensure transparency.
The Chairman expressed gratitude for the warm reception and pledged to sustain an open-door policy with Dufil Prima and other stakeholders, aimed at fostering mutual growth, enhancing infrastructure, and improving the well-being of residents
