The Ogun State Government has initiated the disbursement of relief funds to victims of the recent April 2025 rainstorm disaster in Abebi Quarters, Ota, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area. This support aims to provide immediate assistance to residents whose properties were damaged during the incident.
Hon. Oluwasesan Fagbayi, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, representing the Ogun State Government, stated that this intervention reflects the administration's unwavering commitment to the welfare and safety of its citizens. He emphasized that the government, under the leadership of His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, Governor of Ogun State, will continue to prioritize the well-being of residents by providing timely support in moments of need. He also appreciated the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Engr. Noimot, FNSE, Salako-Oyedele, for her support in ensuring the timely disbursement of relief funds.
Earlier, Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu, FCA, Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, commended the swift intervention of the Ogun State Government, describing it as a clear demonstration of the Governor's people-oriented leadership. He assured residents that the Local Government would continue to work closely with the State to identify affected households and ensure that support reaches genuine beneficiaries without bias.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Opeifa Semiu Afolabi expressed gratitude to the Ogun State Governor, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, and the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, FNSE, for their timely intervention. He noted that the support would help affected families rebuild their lives with renewed hope.
The meeting was attended by notable officials, including Hon. Kola Salako, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Deputy Governor's office, Hon.
