FCAIB Provost Pays Courtesy Visit to College Board Chairman |Omohglobalnews


In a bid to foster mutual understanding and strengthen governance ties, the Provost of the Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan (FCAIB), Prof. Jonathan Atungwu, has paid a courtesy and congratulatory visit to the newly appointed Chairman of the College Board, Honourable Tajudeen Lawal SOOKO, at his residence in Ile-Ife.


During the visit, Prof. Atungwu congratulated Hon. SOOKO on his appointment, describing it as a well-deserved recognition of his leadership capacity and commitment to public service. The Provost expressed his Management’s readiness to collaborate closely with the Board Chairman in actualising the College’s vision, mission, and mandate of promoting agricultural education and national development.


According to Prof. Atungwu, “This visit is not only to congratulate you but to also reaffirm our commitment to working together in the best interest of the College. We are optimistic that under your leadership, FCAIB will witness remarkable growth and development.”


In his response, Hon. Tajudeen SOOKO expressed his gratitude for the familiarisation visit and assured the Provost and his team of his full support. He emphasised his determination to elevate the College to enviable heights, leveraging his experience and network to attract opportunities and drive strategic progress.


“I am honoured to be part of this great institution, and I am committed to ensuring that FCAIB continues to thrive. I look forward to working harmoniously with the College Management to achieve our collective goals,” he stated.




The Provost was accompanied on the visit by key members of the College Management team, including the Deputy Provost (Administration), Engr. (Dr) Adefoye Adejumo; the Head of Bursary, Mrs. Theresa Adeoye; and the Head of the Public Relations Unit, Mr. Samuel Abolarin.
