A jubilant crowd of supporters and party faithful gathered in Ado-Odo Ota Local Government on July 26, 2025, to celebrate Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan (YAYI)'s second year in office as the senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District. The Yayi Liberators Movement, convened by Comrade Ibrahim Fayomi (Olumako), organised a massive five-thousand-man march to show appreciation for the senator's giant achievements in the local government.
The event was a fun-filled celebration, with music and brigade bands on ground, dishing out rhythms of entertainment. The walk, which took off from Ogun State General Hospital to High Court Bus Stop towards Igberen community, was a testament to the senator's impact on the community. The Igberen community road construction and lighting project, embarked upon by Senator YAYI, was a major highlight of the celebration.
The rally was attended by supporters and party leaders in Ado-Odo Ota Local Government, who came out in their numbers to show their appreciation for the senator's works. Speaking at the rally, Chief Durojaiye Aiyedogbon Samuel, a prominent APC chieftain in the local government and staunch supporter of Senator YAYI, praised the senator's transformation agenda. Chief Aiyedogbon also took the opportunity to thank the Ogun State Governor, His Excellency Dapo Abiodiun for giving the room for senator YAYI to perform.
Another Oromint leader, Honourable Segun Ojolowo, thanked Senator YAYI for the numerous projects he has embarked upon in Ado-Odo Ota Local Government. He noted that the senator had completed or initiated no less than 49 projects in the area within a limited time, a feat that has endeared him to the people. Honourable Ojolowo said, "The senator had embarked on nothing less than 49 projects in Ado-Odo Ota local government within just a limited time as the senator representing Ogun west Senatorial District and that the only payback was to thank him with such a walk."
Honourable Ojolowo also called on Senator YAYI to consider contesting for the governorship position in Ogun State in 2027, believing that he would do more as a governor than a senator. He expressed confidence in the senator's ability to take the state to greater heights, saying, "He should please come out and contest for the governorship position in Ogun state in 2027 as he believes he will do more as a governor than a senator."
Also in attendance was Mrs. Janet Ogunbiyi, the ACDC chairperson of Ajumose community, whose community had benefited from road construction facilitated by Senator YAYI. Mrs. Ogunbiyi expressed her gratitude to the senator for the positive impact his projects have had on their community.
High Chief Ogungbayi, the Baale of Igberen town, was also present at the event. As a traditional leader of a community that has benefited from the senator's road construction project, High Chief Ogungbayi came to personally appreciate Senator YAYI for his efforts in transforming their town. His presence was a testament to the senator's commitment to improving the lives of his constituents.
The celebration was a resounding endorsement of Senator YAYI's leadership and a testament to his commitment to delivering impactful and inclusive representation to the people of Ogun West Senatorial District. The senator's achievements have clearly endeared him to the people, who are eager to see him take on greater challenges in the future.
