AOLG Boss Charges Youths to Kick Against Social Vices |Omohglobalnews



The Chairman of Ado Odo Ota Local Government Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu, FCA, has charged the youths of the Council area and the society at large to actively oppose  and combat harmful behaviours and societal ills, such as corruption, crimes, drug abuse by promoting positive values and actions.

The Chairman, recently made this charge during the visit of the Executives of Ota Youth Assembly to his office  at the Council Secretariat.  

 He reaffirmed his commitment at creating an enabling environment for youth development and empowerment  to reduce unemployment and illegal activities in the Council area.


Hon.  Lawal praised the Youth Assembly for their innovative ideas and future developmental plans, promising to partner with them to achieve their goals. He urged the association to liaise  with other youth association on developmental programs for the betterment of youths and the people of Ado Odo Ota Local Government as a whole.



The  President of Ota Youth Assembly, Comrade Prince Adefolarin Adeniji Ojugbele, appreciated the Chairman for his audience and equally expressed the association's satisfaction on fatherly advice and guidance.He stated that,  Ota Youth Assembly was established with the primary objective of promoting youth and community development. He further said that, members of the association came from the four quarters of Ota, namely koro Otun, Iga Osi, Oruba and Iga Ijana. 



Comrade Ojugbele, highlighted the  assembly's programs as :


- Youth Development: Empowering young individuals to reach their full potentials

    

 Community       Development: Improving the quality of life for Ota residents


- Administrative Positioning: Enhancing youth participation in governance

- Economic Empowerment: Providing opportunities for members to improve their economic status

- - 

- Youth Orientation Programmes: Educating and sensitizing youth on relevant issues

- Creation of ICT Center: Establishing a hub for technology and innovations

- Administrative Vehicle: Facilitating transportation for assembly members

- E-library: Providing access to digital resources and knowledge.


The highlight of the visit was the presentation of  Ota Youth Assembly's work plan to Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu, FCA. by  Comrade Ojugbele Adefolarin.
