AOOLG Zonal Community Development Committee Holds General Election |Omohglobalnews


In a landmark event that marked a significant step  in community involvement and democratic process, the Ado Odo Ota Local Government Zonal Community Development Committee has successfully conducted its general elections into various elective posts at the Council's Secretariat on Friday 22nd of March 2024. This elections not only represent the collective will of  communities but also added to the commitment of Ado Odo Ota Local Government to foster transparency, accountability and progress.

The election, which was characterized by high turn out and enthusiastic participation culminated in election of dedicated individuals who were set to steer the committee towards achieving its goals of enhancing the quality of life for all residents. The newly elected members are expected to bring in their worth of experience and a shared vision for the development of the zone.

In an unprecedented display of unity and consensus the Ado Odo Ota Local Government Zonal Community Development Committee elections were concluded with all 15 positions being filled unopposed. This remarkable outcome reflect a harmonious alignment of goals and visions among the community members who collectively recognized and endorsed the capability and dedication of the elected individuals. 

The members sworn in as the newly elected executives of the Ado Odo Ota Local Government Zonal Community Development Committee is now composed of the following esteemed individuals each bringing their unique expertise to their respective roles:


1. Prince Olatunji Onaolapo, Chairman

 2. Mrs. Awonlaogun   Osenat Kehinde, Vice Chairman

3.Hon. Ajolowe Gbemileke, General Secretary

4.Chief Oke Olusegun, Assistant General Secretary 

5.Alhaja Alabede Bolatito, Treasurer

6.Chief Abidoye D.A. Financial Secretary

7.Lion Bisi Akanbi, Public Relation Officer

8.Barr. Odeyemi Kafaru, Welfare Officer

9.Alhaja Ajibade Abiola, Auditor

10.Deaconess Olatona Ruth, Women Representatives

11.Cheif Ayinde Fatai, Youths Representative

12.Mr. Raheem Adeyemi, Social Secretary

13.Apostle Idowu Abiodun Julius, Legal Adviser

14.Prince Deji Dosumu, Ex-officio 1

15.Cheif Owolabi George Olusina, Ex-officio ii


This diverse group of leaders is United by a common purpose, to catalyze positive change and foster growth within the communities.

The newly sworn in Chairman of Ado Odo Ota Local Government Zonal Community Development Committee

Prince olatunji Onaolapo, in his acceptance speech said appreciated  Almighty God for  his Divine Grace and guidance over all communities in the Council area. In his words," It is with a heart full of praise and humility that I accept the role of the chairman  Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Zonal Community Development Committee and I am  fully aware of the responsibilities and opportunities that lies ahead. I will also like to express my profound appreciation to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON Governor of Ogun State for his unwavering support and visionary leadership that continue to inspire us all.

Furthermore I extend my sincere appreciation to our esteemed Local Government Chairman Engr. Sheriff Adewale Musa FCPA whose dedication to our communities serves as the cornerstone of our collective aspiration. Together we shall strive towards a feature of prosperity and unity".

Present at the event were   Head of Community and Social Development Department Mrs Ajibola Tayo, Head of Education, Information and Sports Department Mr Alabi Sheriff,  representatives from the state Ministry of Community Development and Social welfare Mr Jamiu Jimoh, Mr Babatude Odukoya and Ado Odo Ota Community Development Zonal Officer Decampos Olayinka among Others.
