Chief Mrs K Àjọsẹ, felicitates with the Ota branch of the NBA on the commencement of her Annual Law week slated from today, 29th of September to 5th of October 2023.
For a kickstart of the law week, Jumat service was held at the Olorungbebe Mosque Ota roundabout at exactly 1pm , 29th September, 2023.
Mrs Ajose expressed her delightness with a great unity drawn from the Jumat service.
She implored every Nigerian to embrace the unity exhibited among Christians, Muslims and Traditional worshippers gathering in the Mosque to offer prayer jointly and worshiped together in unison without bias.
In her expression, Mrs Ajose saw this as a great lesson and importance to the growth of the society and Nigeria as a whole, as it will foster peace, love and unity amongst the different religions.
The chief Imam in his sermon, implored and encouraged lawyers to be the carrier of justice among all, and not the other way round.
The former treasurer welfare, and social secretary of the Ota bar, empathizes that, lawyers should be seen as Ministers in the Temple of Justice, upholding truth, morals and integrity at all times, as well as be a Nation builder as the theme of the year is "THE LAW AND NATION BUILDING" connotes.
Mrs Ajose is using this medium to say No to drugs, bullying and cultism in all various organizations, schools and society as a whole, but not only in the music industry, citing the case of late Mohbad with the various protesting rallies in the country today.
The former member of the NBA south West disciplinary commitee, and present member of the Appeal committee stressed that the NBA should be seen as a body that the society should emulate and not a personality of ridicule. Noting the various assaults lawyers go through in the hands of military officers. Therefore lawyers should be treated with respect and dignity.
The present member of the Anti touting committee stressed that war against fake lawyers should be jointly dealt with as a whole, by the body of the bar and bench.
Finally, Mrs Ajose enjoins all members of the Bar to come together in building the nation together in their day to day activities, through their diligent s and abilities, so that justice and equity will prevail in all our endeavours.
