TRACE, FRSC Pledge To Work Together |Omohglobalnews

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) have restated their commitment to ensuring safety on roads to reduce crashes.

The commitment was renewed when a team of Ogun Command of FRSC, led by its Sector Commander, CC Anthony Uga paid a courtesy visit to the office of TRACE Commander/Chief Executive Officer, Cdr Abdulfatai Olaseni Ogunyemi.

Cdr Ogunyemi, while applauding FRSC for maintaining healthy partnership with TRACE and other traffic management over the years, stressing that, there must be continuous collaboration to make the state and country safe for citizens.

He said: “Infact, I’m very grateful for this visit and I am confident I can always trust FRSC partnership with TRACE and other traffic management anytime and any day.

“When FRSC started in 1987, I was part of the portfolio with Agunloye, the first set in 1988, though I left in 1988 to do other things, but my bosses were still there. I came back to traffic management not FRSC but Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) in the year 2000 before I was called by the Ex-Governor Gbenga Daniel in 2004 to join hands in establishing TRACE which saw the light of the day in 2005 till today,” Cdr Ogunyemi, said.

He added that the synergy between FRSC and TRACE have been very wonderful and we should continue working together.

He also thanked other sister agencies – Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps for their roles and assistance in traffic management. “We will continue to need your co-operation as safety on the road is everyone’s business.”

While receiving a plague from the TRACE boss, Sector Commander Uga, thanked TRACE for their efforts at ensuring crash-free roads in the state, saying FRSC would continue to demonstrate good partnership with TRACE and other sister agencies across the country.

“I am here specifically to leverage on the existing synergy between TRACE and FRSC. Traffic management is very diversity and FRSC cannot do it alone. We want to be hearing good stories of traffic management in the state not a negative, and we are going to work together and deliver in our various areas of assigned responsibility,” CC Uga, added.
