A renowned legal practitioner and a human right activist Chief Mrs Ajose Kelubia has called on well meaning Nigerians to help intervene and seek Justice for the Family of Aaron Ogunsemore in igbokoda Ondo state during a press briefing held at Sango, Ota on Tuesday 25th October, 2022
According to the statement released by her , she said "it was a case of robbery , attempted murder, stealing and kidnapping against this humble and law abiding family"
The incident happened on December 1st, 2021 when some thugs armed invaded the family house of Mr Aaron Ogunsemore at Okoga in Igbokoda, Ondo state shooting sporadically into the air, pursuing people with cutlasses and axes and calling on Mr Aaron to come out and be shot by them .
According to the press briefing, the thugs were identified by eye witnesses as Bamitale Iwatan, Mayowa Iletuwa, Segun, Ogo , Gbenga Ogunsemore,, Rire Ayorinde and others now at large.
Consequently one Mr Esau Ogunsemore was shot at the leg, dragged into the bush in the presence of his wife, father, aunty and some villagers by these aforementioned names with their cohorts, the 50years old man and father of 18 children whereabout has been unknown eversince the incidence.
The matter was later reported at Igbokoda police, but nothing was done as these known perpetrators are well connected as notorious thugs in the area. Not until a Petition was written and sent to the Alagbon Police Force C.I.D. that action eventually taken leading to the arrest of two people namely Segun and Rire.
To the chagrin of the family lawyer Chief Mrs Ajose Kelubia, neither her nor the complainant was contacted before the suspects were taken to Akure and arraigned.
"Sometimes in April 2022 these same people were arrested and taken to the police headquarters Abuja for using firearms and other harmful objects to threaten his Uncle Mr. Aaron Ogunsemore but were released in no time despite the evidences and exhibits, claiming order from the Deputy Governor of Ondo state, though we could not verify nor ascertain this claim" according to the lawyer statement
They were granted bail in Abuja by one Olorunwa and the case died down with no arraignment all because higher power was involved. This singular act birthed the return of these perpetrators who invaded the residence of Mr. Aaron Ogunsemore again in December 2021.
