BAT Lawyers to Provide Free Legal Aids to Market Operators, Transporters, Artisans


Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) Lawyers have commenced initiative of providing free legal services to market women, men, Artisans and transporters  in Osogbo, the capital state of Osun.

The coordinator of BAT Lawyers , Olori Abibat Bankole Apena said: "It is necessary to sensitise market operators on some issues in order to bring the law closer to them and it is another way of giving back to the society."

The areas which she explained the group's services intended to cover include: Landlord and Tenancy/Agreement; Commercial transactions; Child Right/ Abuse/Defilement and Wrongful Arrest/ Unlawful Detention of Citizen.

Others include Assault/Battering; Fraudulent act /Obtaining under false pretences; Deomestic Violent and Higher purchases of lands, properties and Money traded interest.


Speaking at a workshop organised by the BAT Lawyers at the Old Orisumbare Market Square in Osogbo, Barrister Ajoke Ajose Kelubia, said the workshop is highly imperative to enable the group know what action to take when such aforementioned services occurred.

Other speakers are Barr. Ibilola Kamilat Subair,  Amb. Akeem White (Ogun State Coordinator) and Deputy National Coordinator Olaide Oyesola and Chief Mrs Ajose, Ogun State Secretary.

One of the speakers, Chief Mrs Ajose further clarified that only fresh and new cases will be entertained and dissuade  member from bringing matters already in court or which another legal practitioner already engaged in.

Olori Bankole Apena, added that awareness will be spread to other states of the federation having created such in Ota, Ogun State.

Other notable Lawyers and dignitaries in attendance  were Otunba  Barr. Lekan Ojo, Olumide, Osun State Coordinator, Mr Shola Orimoloye.

BAT Lawyers was created by the Presidential Aspirant of APC Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu to help market women, Men, Artisans Transporters and less privileged to know and fight for their rights through legal means without paying a dime.

This legal practitioners under the Umbrella of BAT Lawyers are mobilised and sensitised our market women, men, transporters, artisans and other less privileged on their rights under the law and the means to exercise their right on specific matters as it relates to their daily activities and businesses. Over 3000 Lawyers were engaged all over the federation for this charitable service.
