AOOLG Orientates Newly Employed Non-unified Staff |Omohglobalnews


In a bid to familiarize and orientate  the newly recruited non unified staff of Ado-Odo Ota Local Government  on ethics of the Local Government system, the management of the Council  recently organised  A-Day Orientation workshop for newly recruited junior staff at the Chief Nosiru Deinde Memorial Hall of the Secretariat.

In his opening  address, the Executive Chairman Engr. Sheriff Adewale Musa FCPA ably represented by the Vice Chairman Mrs Saidat Olatunbosun Animashaun appreciated the Governor of Ogun State His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun CON for the opportunity provided to recruit junior staffers into Ado Odo Ota Local Government . She added that staff training is an important part of development especially for newly employed staffers of any organisation because it will provide them with the knowledge and support they need to perform their roles. She  urged the participants to see the orientation program as an avenue to know their primary assignment.  

Earlier speaking, the Head of Local Government Administration Dr  Bamgbose Adebola FCPA  stated that the workshop was designed to comprehensively  introduce  the newly employed staffers to Local Government  operational procedure. He advised the participants to make good use of the opportunity provided by the Council. He  also urged them to work  diligently for betterment of the Council.

The Director of General Services and Administration of the Council  Prince Dada Solomon Oloruntoba  FCPA also  a  resource person at the workshop appreciated the Council Boss and the management for the approval to orientate the newly employed staffers. He  said that the program will help the newly intakes to familiarise themselves with the environment of the Local Government and also to know their supposed duties as newly employed staffers. He added that the workshop has been designed to tell them what the service require from them. 

The participants were introduced to the Ogun State Local Government Law and Staff Regulations by Prince Dada Solomon Oloruntoba and Mr Isikalu Goriola.

One of the highlights of the workshop was the presentation of certificates to all participants by the Head of Local Government Administration Dr Bamgbose Adebola FCPA, the Director of Agriculture and Natural Resources department Mr Kikisagbe Kayode FCPA and  the Head of Education Information and Sports department Mr Alabi Sheriff.

One of the participants Miss Usman Ayoola who spoke on behalf of the recruited staffers expressed her satisfaction with the quality of the workshop and also appreciated the management of the council for the opportunity to get acquainted with the Local Government Service.

It will be recalled that the Ogun State Governor  His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun CON recently approved the recruitments of junior staffers into the Local Government Service across the 20 Local Governments of the state so as to boost service delivery at the grassroot.

Also present at the event were, The Secretary to the Local Government Mr Akonthe Abiodun Sejoro FCPA, Directors and Heads of departments,  Chairman Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees Ado Odo Ota branch Comrade Jamiu Moshood   among others.
